Installing Docker on Raspbian Buster (Raspberry Pi 4)

Docker - an open source tool that every developer loves to work. It can be described as a mini subsystem for applications to get deployed into it.
The security is also an advantage of using docker.

In other way, one way to configure all packages and arrange different applications effectively.

Raspberry cluster will help play dockers core use cases which can be discussed in future.
What we are going to try is to install Docker for Raspberry pi 4 i.e raspbian buster.

Before getting into installing docker, run the update command as follows,

sudo apt update

because raspbian by default has been under testing repo so we need to update into a stable one.

sudo apt-get update doesn't provide any update as it is final version of tested repo.

We didn't not have direct buster packages but we can use stretch packages without any changes into buster version.

let's get started,

wget https://download.docker.com/linux/debian/dists/buster/pool/stable/armhf/containerd.io_1.2.6-3_armhf.deb
wget https://download.docker.com/linux/debian/dists/buster/pool/stable/armhf/docker-ce-cli_18.09.7~3-0~debian-buster_armhf.deb
wget https://download.docker.com/linux/debian/dists/buster/pool/stable/armhf/docker-ce_18.09.7~3-0~debian-buster_armhf.deb

dpkg -i containerd.io_1.2.6-3_armhf.deb
dpkg -i docker-ce-cli_18.09.7~3-0~debian-buster_armhf.deb
dpkg -i docker-ce_18.09.7~3-0~debian-buster_armhf.deb
sudo usermod pi -aG docker

The Next step is to install wordpress on raspberry pi and test it.
